Description
Hi there,
I'm Luca Mezzalira. I'm a Principal Solutions Architect, QCon speaker, and the facilitator of the online InfoQ Certified Architect Program.
I'm emailing because the next cohort starts January 19, and I want to explain what we're actually doing here.
Here's the thing: the architect's role is changing.
Technical correctness isn't enough anymore. You need to articulate why your systems matter to leadership, the business, and across organizational boundaries. That's the gap most training misses.
After our first online cohort, one architect told me: "It's often easy to get stuck choosing building blocks... but this cohort explored the political, socio-technical side of being an architect, and that was absolutely fascinating."
Another applied it immediately: "The Architecture Canvas was a game changer. We've made different decisions because of how we're structuring conversations."
This is what we focus on.
This isn't a lecture series. It's a hands-on, 5-week online cohort where you'll: https://r.mail.infoq.com/mk/cl/f/sh/7nVU1aA2nfuMS4NaYQDhjGfOXqVH0w5/LPypes_maceD
Learn frameworks that work: Apply the Architecture Canvas, ADRs, and RFCs to your current challenges.
Connect with senior peers: Join confidential small-group discussions with experienced architects facing similar problems.
Publish your insights: Turn your learnings into a technical article for publication on InfoQ.com, building your personal brand while contributing to the global architecture community.
Earn your certification: Complete the cohort to earn the InfoQ Certified Software Architect in Emerging Technologies (ICSAET) credential.
The 5-week learning journey: https://r.mail.infoq.com/mk/cl/f/sh/7nVU1aA2nfwFRastWzS9lczCiD03ksb/2mpdjPk-zXjZ

Week 5: Capstone Project - Present your article and celebrate what the cohort has accomplished together
The two cohorts starting January 19, 2026 are:
Cohort 1: 9:30am BST (UK/Europe morning)
Cohort 2: 10:00am EDT (US East Coast morning)
